Parahelion —
Y axis: 144 pixels.
X axis: infinite.

Put the camera on a tripod, open the shutter for a few seconds or a few minutes, and draw.

This one-meter strip of 144 RGB LEDs is mounted on a rig I made from MakerBeam components, along with a couple of ABS enclosures and a big 5V battery. The LEDs are controlled either by a Raspberry Pi located on one end of the rig, which is running Dotstar Pi Painter, a project published by Adafruit; or by an Arduino board located at the other end, running procedural code I wrote in C++ — vertical bars of color growing and shrinking, their endpoints defined by sine waves.
